My grandmother is currently in there. They are super unprofessional and say very inappropriate things especially the administrator and head nurse. They have no compassion nor try to get to know the patients as well as the families. From the start, they never wanted my grandmother to succeed. They claimed she was in rehab but put her in a 3 person room where there was no way they could work on her getting out of bed and walking, which is why she went there in the first place and now she’s unfortunately stuck there. They also never have the phone where she can reach it so we can never call her. When we call the front desk, they don’t know who she is or tell us how she’s doing. I have worked in human services for years and have never seen conditions this bad. I would highly discourage anyone coming here.

Be very careful of this place. The administrator of this facility, *****, is outright cruel and heartless. She doesn't care for the residents at that facility that don't bring in a lot of money. The turnover is high and morale is low; you can feel the low morale as soon as you walk onto a unit. Even as I walked through the building, residents would tell me to be careful of the administrator. This facility is just one of many nationally-owned buildings focused on revenue while its physical condition and well-being of the residents deteriorates.

Hi, my name is Anamul and my mother is presently staying at Colony Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Abington, MA for several weeks, but she has been in and out of rehab since last year. My mother is a serious diabetic patient, and has double kidney failure. I want to make attention to how they take care of my mother. Every week my son and I visit my mother. They have been neglecting my mother and not caring for her, also, it is hard to reach my mother when I call the front desk. I left the messages and tried to call her doctor, but she never called back. Now, I will explain in details how we found my grandmother this Saturday. 11/05/18 we visited my grandmother in the South Shore Hospital Emergency Room, we saw that her fingernails plus her toenails were much too long, cracked, and had a bad smell coming from them. We notified the authorities, but, it wasn't the first priority as she was in the emergency, and her life was on the line for other reasons. Anyway, even before that date my dad requested several times to the authorities of Colony Center for Health & Rehabilitation. Note that this was before she was transferred to the South Shore Hospital Emergency Room. One time when I paged a doctor, she replied very rudely. Also, we found that when she pressed the button for nurses to come, they don’t come. She fell 2 times. The reason she fell 2 times is because when she has to go to the bathroom they don’t come, she can’t hold it in, and tries to go by herself. This all leads to November 17th where we came to Colony Center for Health & Rehabilitation, which she was moved back to from the South Shore hospital last Thursday. The smell was even worse. They told us that it would take an additional 3 months for the podiatrist to come and clip her toenails, after the many times we asked them to take care of it. Also, they won’t clip her fingernails. That’s why I had no choice but to clip her nails, as I didn’t want my mother to go through another 3 months of pain and suffering from her infected, overgrown nails. I strongly believe that my mother has been neglected and abused at Colony Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Abington, MA 02351, but not improving, getting worse, and her health has been declining.
