Long Island Care Center

Long Island Care Center has been taking care of my mother for a few years now. They’re doing a phenomenal job and my mother seems very happy there. She arrived at Long Island Care Center after having a bad stroke. Initially I was nervous about putting my mother in a nursing home. I wasn’t sure if she would be getting the quality care that she so desperately needed. But now, after she’s been there for a few years, I’m extremely satisfied with my decision. My mother has improved tremendously due the the amazing doctors, nurses, social workers, therapists, staff, etc. Initially, at the hospital, the doctors said she wouldn’t last more than ten days. It’s been two years now and the progress she has made has been amazing. I would like to also give a special shout to the recreation department. These are the people who enabled me to speak to my mother during covid. They set up numerous zoom calls for my mother and our family and were extremely flexible with the timing of the calls. They also set up the in person appointments when some of the covid restrictions were lifted. They did an exemplary job ensuring that my mother was safe when visitors were coming to see her. I’m extremely happy with my mother’s progress and would highly recommend Long Island Care Center for anyone who has a family member who needs to go to a nursing home.
