I have had 2 family members live and pass away at Park Villa. My loved ones received the best care. They were happy and healthy. The staff is courteous and attentive. I seen no signs of abuse and/or neglect the 6 years total of my family members residing at this quaint little nursing facility. NCK is lucky to have such a great facility. I will forever recommend Park Villa.

I have noticed that staff plays favorites with their residents and if you are somebody who doesn't have family coming in your loved one will be ignored. They scream at their residents, if residents are nonverbal they will be ignored. They didn't know I was paying attention and a nurse went up to a resident and forcefully pushed her back in her wheel chair, so hard I heard the residents back hit the back of the wheel chair, it sounded like a slap against rubber. Knowing the alarm system was being changed they didn't staff more aids and one resident was able to get outside before caught. One aid recorded a resident grunting while trying to go to the bathroom and sent the video out on snap chat. Many times I have walked in and heard aids screaming at residents. There is at least one resident I know of that is never out of bed. She is not able to move herself so the only time she is out of bed is during meal time, she is never bathed only sponge baths. There is a blind resident that is made to feed himself so most of his food ends up on the floor, he is left at the table all day long, very seldom is he taken to the restroom, he sits at table and hits his hands on the table to get someone's attention instead of asking him what he needs they yell at him to stop. I have witnessed call lights going off for more than 30 minutes at a time, while aids are on break the nurses will go out and smoke. Leaving nobody on the floor to help residents. They write out activity schedules to show people but the only activity that is ever done is bingo. They play hard rock music instead of allowing residents to watch TV. Ask the head people up there are all related so they have each other's back when they have a complaint.
