The Peaks Care and Rehab

My husband Chad was transported from Timpanogos Regional Hospital on June 16 for after care when he had had a strangulated hernia repair followed by an ileus. He had had an NG tube PICC line IV with TPN. Also a urinary catheter and had needed oxygen to keep SATS UP ABOVE 90 during sleep. SO he had lost strength to be able to walk and no appetite. I had gone over to check out The Peaks as a possible choice of subacute care centers for rehab therapy and care. I knew about all of the others on the list. So I found out where it was located and went in and was greeted by the Manager Daniel Mata and asked for a tour and to meet some of the staff. So that is what we did and I was delighted with my impressions of the total facility. And the people from the head nurse and the kitchen staff. The place was so clean and it had a nice homey feel and it did not have odd odors nor smell of antiseptics. So after my husband was admitted the call lights were answered so promptly and the staff was always courteous and kind as they performed their duties. And the food was exceptional and every request was considered. The nursing staff were knowledgeable and efficient. Always taking the time to explain anything that was going on and great with assessments. The doctor was thorough and good with communicating what was wanted and how it would be accomplished. Then the staff were always pleasant and kind and respectful as well as efficient. And family and friends were treated well. It was a pleasant experience to have a meal in the dining room and the food was well presented and good, right temp. Tasty and the dietician would ask if you wanted something not on the menu and getting most anything requested quickly and efficiently. The staff all worked together well as a good team should. I would recommend this facility to anyone requiring good care.
