A Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility

A family member was a resident at A Holly Patterson due to dementia. He was taken to an appointment at a local hospital and left there unattended. He walked out of the hospital and is still missing 2 months later. I was not notified for 6 hours that he had escaped from their care. They refuse to give me his belongings or his medical chart even though I am his guardian and he is no longer considered a resident there. Keep your loved ones safe, find a facility that truly cares for their wellbeing and supervises them 24/7.

DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES ENTER THIS FACILITY. My mom was there for a few months and it was a horrible experience. She was treated like an animal. Sat in her own feces and the care was lacking. I called daily and was just told yes I hear you, we will write a grievance. Those grievances meant nothing. The DOH really needs to pay a visit to this place as it is not well maintained and the staff is nasty and horrible.

I was told that Holly Patterson was one of the best. Guess what? It turned out to be one of the most horrible especially the Dr whose name I will with hold although I shouldn’t because people need to know about her and who she is. I had my husband transferred there from Jamaica Hospital for rehab. The day time nurses were amazing and helpful, most week end nurses were really nice, but the evening nurses they were not very pleasant. One of the sweetest, most helpful, and honest person was the Respitory Therapist who showed my husband compassion and love. God placed her in his life to encourage him and push him to get out of there. The worst thing that could happen for nursing homes and hospitals was COVID that allowed them to get away with negligence and responsibilities. Holly Patterson is a place I will not recommend.
