This was the first time my step dad had been at this care center. Needless to say we pulled him after 4 days. The most disturbing thing that happened was actually across the hall. A man in the room across the hall had fallen, possibly hitting his head on the door jam. My mom and I heard the noise and rushed right over. There were 3 nurses standing at the end of the hall way talking. We motioned frantically to them to come. They didn't budge. So we motioned again and yelled that this man had fallen. Finally they slumbered our way. We stepped back and they just stood over him asking him questions about what happened. Like this happens every day. Maybe it does....but it looked like he hit his head. They seemed annoyed by the whole thing. They did call the squad and he was taken to the hospital. Now for my step dad. Two days in a row he did not have a call button that he could reach. He is bed ridden. How was he supposed to get help? We complained. He didn't have a way to turn off the light above his bed. Which he says they never turned off. He is sensitive to light. We complained and fixed both issues ourselves. After his bath they never dressed him. For 3 days he was in his under wear. We complained. When we traveled the halls coming in and out not one nurse ever smiled or spoke to us. It was like we were invisible. I don't normally leave reviews, but I felt this was important for other families to know. I didn't want to give any stars.
