Azle Manor Healthcare and Rehabilitation

We lost my grandpa this weekend and I can tell you with certainty that Azle Manor is 75% to blame. He was there for a year and every single day it seemed like pulling teeth with these people to do anything. Nurses and social workers continually complained that we had cameras in the room so they couldn't walk in there, if you are doing everything correctly why are you so scared of cameras? Both my grandpa and grandma were not showered, groomed or helped when they really needed it. Unfortunately, we had a family member that has Medical POA and wouldn't listen to our pleas to move him. The worst thing that ever happened was I went to see my grandparents on a Sunday. I quickly realized that my grandpa was seriously ill. I walked past the CNA Shelly on the way to the nurses station to tell them and asked her about how long he had felt that way, her response he is tired. I went to the nurses station to alert them and as I was telling them he was very ill, she quickly cut me off and said "he's just tired". 3 days later he was diagnosed with pnuemonia, but kept getting sicker and sicker until finally we took him to the ER. *Note since I was not Medical POA I could not take him out myself. When the doctor saw him his first words were "this is a very sick man". Unfortunately, the same thing occured last Sunday but this time it was too late. Other things to note, he was left in hallways many times because he was immobile, turned facing the wall and laid in bed for hours without being changed. I understand most nursing homes are understaffed and generally not good places but I can tell you this nursing home is the most horrible thing you can do to a family member, we have since of course removed my grandmother.
