We visited the sales office today seeking information regarding homes for sale. We encountered Eric, who was quite rude and not at all helpful. We were inquiring about a specific house. He demanded to know what we liked about it. He was not kind or pleasant or friendly. It is sad a person with such rude behavior was our first encounter at Canta Mia.

We are moving from Cantamia for many of the reasons already mentioned.. the constant year round problem with flies, mosquitoes, swarms of gnats to the point that you could only really look at the outside, not enjoy it. The farm smell and contribution to the fly problem is awful. The HOA is controlling and dictatorial (scheduling use of treadmills a week in advance now) and the new community ownership, Taylor Morrison appear to have no interest, in the community beyond dollar signs. It is certainly not the same community it was when we moved in.

I was shocked by the misrepresentation of the ‘fly’ problem, the stockyard ‘smell’ problem, and the poor review of the salesperson Eric B. in two of the reviews I just read. Eric was our salesperson and I felt he provided excellent service and went above and beyond to help us find the perfect lot, and to address our concerns as our home was being built. I know I was a very picky and demanding new home buyer and Eric was consistently upbeat, positive, and most importantly, he was able to successfully address all my concerns. As for the flies, there are a few days out of the year they are a problem. And the stockyard smell occurs rarely when the wind blows just right, it is also infrequent and nothing I would even think to mention. On the other hand, we are so happy we chose Canta Mia. We love the lakes, the walking trails, and unlike many other communities the homes are not all crammed together. We really enjoyed the cooking classes, the art classes, and the HOA sponsored community social activities. We have great neighbors and I have enjoyed the people I have met at various events. I would highly recommend ‘Canta Mia’ as a great place to retire.

The first time I drove out to the community I felt it was rather far, however, once you come through the gates and witness the incredible amenities and the great diversity of lots I fell in love. Many AA developers try to squeeze as many lots into a community as possible, but then proceed to build a club that is far too small for the amount of people living there. CantaMia is the exception to this practice. The staff is professional and courteous. The affordability is unmatched for the quality of the community. I simply couldn't be happier with my decision.

Before writing a check out the reviews for the area on mosquitos (all summer long) and the the flies move in September and are still here and it is Thanksgiving week. The bugs have been so terrible that it is impossible to enjoy my back patio or yard. The stench in the air is so bad at times from local dairy and feedlots, it is unbearable. If you don’t mind an unbelievably high amount of bugs and bad air then CantaMia is a great place. I wish I had visited at various times of the year before purchasing. After one year I am ready to move on.

The Community is beautiful. The amenities lovely. The homeowners are wonderful people. Unfortunately, the sales associate Eric B. presents himself as friendly and interested in guiding prospective buyers successfully through the purchase process. In truth, once the customer expresses a concern or identifies an issue which requires an effort on his part to resolve, a more accurate insight into who he is as both a salesman and human being emerges. He was found to be disingenuous and disrespectful, conducting himself in a rude and unprofessional manner. In the presence of a number o witnesses it was clear that he misrepresented information to the prospective buyers and when it was brought to his attention that this misrepresentation was problematic, he became condescending and very defensive. He refused to assist or support a successful resolution. Unfortunately, it appears that the entire Phoenix management/leadership team operates in a manner that fails in customer service and explains Eric B.'s substandard performance. Multiple unsuccessful efforts were made to speak with the VP of the sales team (Mr. Snoddy) and the CEO for the Phoenix region (Mr. Cregg) also failed to respond to telephone and email inquiries. The threat was made clear that all funds deposited would be lost should the home purchase be cancelled. The positive and helpful experience with the design center (Rachael) and preliminary contact with the construction team (Brad) is completely overshadowed by the unethical practices and unprofessional behaviors of the sales and operation managers. It is unfortunate that the quality home building is so poorly represented to the public.
