DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE! we had to pull my mother out as we feared she wouldn’t survive this place! They had a covid outbreak as a nurse exposed an entire floor and they did not alert my mom or us, hence she tested positive shortly thereafter. We chose this facility bc we were told by them that they do not accept Covid patients and that their Covid patients go to their Hanover facility. They lied. Once they had their outbreak they told us they decided to keep the Covid patients and the building administrator told me that they will “try” to keep the personnel who work on the Covid patients away from the general population of patients but he couldn’t promise. My mother was forced to sit in her own feces and urine on a bed pan for over an hour at a time while the nurses and staff would just walk past her as she was calling them. She said they actually would look right at her abs walk away. We even have an open investigation on one of the staff members who was caring for her. Her covid became so bad that she actually fell and apart let hit her head. I was told by the charge nurse that they found her lying on the floor and they “think” she hit her head by the way they found her laying. All while they were supposed to be watching and taking care of her. Yet they “found” her on the floor. She was rushed to the hospital to check on her head and while there they discover her oxygen saturation was way down and that she had covid pneumonia. They would tell me they were checking her oxygen saturation levels while she was in CareOne. Apparently that wasn’t the case. They repeatedly fed her food she was allergic to causing her an allergic reaction. I can sit here writing and writing about them all day...they are ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I can see why they are appropriately nicknamed “Care None.” Thank God I was able to get my mom out in time. She is now in an excellent facility who actually cares for their patients.

CareOne at Madison has new management and made a lot of improvements. They now have an extraordinary team that goes above and beyond! 5star quality measures in rehab and nursing, pulmonary care, cardiac care, ortho and more. They also do peritoneal dialysis. The facility is cozy and beautiful, with a lot of amenities such as library, large courtyard, private and semi-private rooms available and more. All are beautifully renovated and decorated.

Spent 28 days after surgery to hand and hip. I had 24 staples in my hip. The staff never changed the dressing causing the wound to become abscessed. I had a drain that no one knew how to flush. They insisted on running the tubing through my diaper , feeding me stool softener causing drain to become impacted. Was moved back to hospital for additional surgery. My hip wound up turning into a 15 cm wound. I refused to return to Care One and spent the next 50 days at a different facility. They are no longer considered a "preferred provider". The hospital's opinion is this facility no longer meets what they "consider to be quality of care."...
