Carter Healthcare in Abilene, TX (San Angelo) is horrible. I would not recommend to anyone and we just switched healthcare agencies. My mom was one of your patients. They were suppose to come by once a week. Everything was find until the first nurse quit. My mom adored Monica. Then it was a different nurse, different day, different time.....every week. Then we got Jennifer. She should not be allowed in people's homes. She not only lied about doing visits - and no the log was not signed (I have copies) but she also belittled my mom...83 year old mom that has partial dementia. Jennifer told me hatefully on the phone she didn't understand why she was going by there anyway - mom didn't want her there. I told her as a nurse she should understand personalities of people with dementia. I requested that she did not visit my mom anymore after lying about the second visit (she didn't come). They were extremely short handed so Jennifer called and asked if she could go once again. I said yes, which I deeply regret. Mom said she was not nice to her like the other nurses and asked her "who runs your life, you or your daughter". Then she told her well you don't have to worry about it anymore, I'm discharging you. With no notice to any of us. Not even Brooke knew she did this. My mom qualifies for visits due to they are changing her BP meds again due to the recall. Brooke called me and said they would get her recertified. I said no thank you. I have another agency and will not ever be associated with Carters or any agency that hires Jennifer. How cruel taking advantage of an elderly person just because you butted heads with her daughter. Or rather actually her daughter called you out for lying about your visits. Tracey Pacheco
