Caton Manor

My 93 year old grandmother has been here for 2 week, because She had a surgery done, and needed physical therapy before she came home. As of this morning she is back in the hospital. I knew they were going to be an issue the night she was transferred to caton manor. There was a short Latina lady, with short gold hair, and glasses who didn't even know my Grandmother had just checked it (even thought she had just came through the front door,and the lady had to let my Grandmother in). A patient told us, room number and all. Sounds safe right? Not to mention each time we came to see my Grandmother she never checked our ID. We (her family) would visit her after work every day, and each day it would be something. I arrived to her room around 7:48pm one night and she was slumped over, in a wheelchair, in the dark. It startled me. I immediately threw my purse on the bed and ran over to her yelling her name. She lifted her head and said "I'm not doing to good. I've been wet since 10:00am, and no one has been in here to change me, or check on me" I went to the desk and the same careless Latina lady was there. I asked her "why hasn't anyone changed and checked on my Grandmother in 423, since 10am?!"(Lets keep in mind that its well after 7:00pm). She just shrugged her shoulders and said "I'll find her nurse" Moments later a young black girl, with single plats, about 5'6,with a nigerian accent comes in. I asked her the same question "why hasn't anyone changed and checked on my grandmother in 423, since 10am?!" She informed me that her shift didn't start until 3 or 3:45pm. She then stated that she'll check to see what was going on. About a half hour later my husband went to the front and the head nurse in charge came in to see what was going on. She was a tall middle aged,light skinned lady, with short red hair, and glasses. We were really happy with her because right after we spoke with her she had someone to come in and clean my grandmother up.There had been days that my Grandmother called us just to get the number to the front desk, because they left her sitting for so long, and had not checked on her. The Environment is not clean. The floors look like they are never cleaned, and it smells really bad! I wouldn't recommend it.There was on staff member by the name of Lisa who was amazing. I felt like my Grandmother was ok on the days she worked. Thank you Ms.Lisa, You're awesome!
