Do not take your family member there, especially if they need any form of medical care. Their nurses are only pill givers. They are either not qualified, under trained, or not authorized to really care for patients who need medical care joined with rehabilitation. I asked them several times what the long and short term goals were for my grandmother and they said they would take it day by day. There was nothing from them to go over progress or expectations.My grandmother was there for two weeks with orders to be weighed daily due to water retention. She was weighed the first 2 days then not again until 2 weeks later. She gained 15lbs!Myself and my cousin were there daily. They do not follow their own covid restrictions. In the 2 weeks we witnessed they had 2 employees with covid. They have signs about wearing coverings in the rooms and no one does. They do not clean the rooms thoroughly. I cleaned my grandmother's room when I went and her bathroom. I would find her dirty clothes rolled up in a drawer. I would have to ask them to bathe her because they would skip several days, same as sheet changing.When applying medicine to private areas they wouldn't change gloves then touch her pillow, and everything around the room.The nurses are extremely rude to the CNAs, in front of patients and patients families.Many times I had to clean my grandmother from accidents or take her to the bathroom because they would take over 30 minutes to respond to a call.I finally had to start talking to Matt the Administrator and Jennifer the Director of Nursing to get my grandmother checked out. Doctor only comes maybe once a week, if not the PA and they are rush in and out. They don't speak to the family members of a patients with dementia to give them an update.After a week, I noticed my grandmother declining. I told the nurses she didn't look right. Her skin color, her speech (she was supposedly having speech therapy but wouldn't they have caught that), and she was lethargic. I found out later that the so called speech therapy was the lady who would drop off crossword puzzles and other worksheets to be completed on her own. My grandmother's feet and legs were swollen, the bottom of them were turning purple. Very concerning with a diabetic. The nurse did nothing but tell me to elevate her feet. I had to tell her for 3 days before I finally went to Jennifer and Matt when they came back in from the weekend off. Jennifer had some tests ran. My grandmother was in fact getting worse. The PA came the next morning to check my grandmother and review the results, which she didn't even remember that she approved with Jennifer. Then took until after 10pm to put the orders in the computer for medication to help my grandmother, who was deteriorating.I suggested that she go back to the hospital because it was clear they could not care for her there. Matt didn't want that (I'm sure they wanted to get as much insurance money possible or to save face). Jennifer said she would take lead on my grandmother's care and the next day they called me saying my grandmother does need to go back to the hospital. They were calling 911 because their transport is booked (probably trying to save money). It was a coincidence that they all of a sudden thought she should go back to the hospital after my father called the insurance company and told them what was going on there.My grandmother was in worse condition then when she went in. After about 10 days back in the hospital she was doing great, then thrived in Solaris Rehab and is now home.If we weren't there daily, my grandmother would have probably died in Delaney's care. I told Matt that if these things are happening with family there everyday watching, image the patients who don't have anyone to speak for them.These people do not care about your family. They don't care about doing their jobs.
