I moved to Friendship Village 10/1/2020...pretty much the middle of the pandemic. My primary reason for choosing the Village the option to have a cottage (they come in duplexes, triplexes and quads) that I could renovate any way I wanted. I originally moved into a one-bedroom unit while my two-bedroom unit was being upgraded. Although it took 6 months (including a 2-month wait for Tempe to approve a permit), it was well worth the wait. The Village has accommodated my every wish. Although I haven't participated in any Village activities (due to covid restrictions), I have thoroughly enjoyed having my meals delivered. The staff is friendly and efficient. The residents have also welcomed me and made me feel that this is a move I should have made years ago. Recently the Village opened up for visitors which has been welcomed by all residents. I highly recommend Friendship Village Tempe to anyone looking for the perfect retirement setting.
