Wellington Oaks

This place does not have exceptional care. Most nursing homes are the same. They hire these young people who don't know how to show compassion for elderly, and don't care. They view their job only as a job and nothing else. This type of job you have to have compassion and love for people, not just training. Put yourself in these seniors position, how would you want to be treated or your loved one. Every time I go there on the weekends it smells like urine and urine is always on my Dad's floor and in the halls. House keeping is standing in the halls talking and all the nursing assistants are huddled together talking. I don't like it at all. I know the job is hard but things can be better than it is. First shift are the best people during the week days. It's doesn't smell bad like it does on the weekend. Does the weekend supervisor allow the staff to stand around talking? I hate we ever put my Dad in this place. He has dementia and he can't tell us what's happening. My heart goes out to all of the residents. The State need to monitor these places better. I feel no one cares about these elderly people.
