Have tried to be patient and understanding with staff as they have many in their care, but no matter who you ask a concern you have you get a different answer from each one. The director of nursing in my opinion needs to be looked into, as well as some of the others that don’t want to buck her in anyway. It appears to be a power game with her. Not at all impressed or intimidated in anyway by someone that acts this way over those in such vulnerable positions. Going to call anyone and everyone that I can to have this looked into. Oh and mr hand is no better. Well one day the ones you treat like this now will one day be you and may karma come around to all of you.

It claims no reported incidents but that’s a lie my dad has fallen several times and has even crawled up the hall. Now he’s being very heavily sedated can barely open his eyes. Went up there yesterday and a regular tray was delivered which included a hamburger and steak fries he can’t sit up nor can he feed his self. They allowed a bit of time and then removed his tray from the dresser my sister went and reclaimed it but the only thing he could have was the pudding and his drink which had to be given him while she did this I went to grocery basket and bought baby food he ate four large cups of that two bowls of pudding two cups of apple sauce and a jello cup. Now that was a hungry man. So now because we can’t trust him to get any nutrition we are going to have to go a couple of times a day with baby food and make sure he doesn’t starve to death. Even those dying deserve to have someone that cares enough to feed them. I always have to ask for a chair to sit in we put a rocker in there but with two of us we need a chair. They definitely don’t care about us watching him die and over his time here they really haven’t seemed to want him there either. They have already had us remove all his clothing because he’s got a short time left apparently but they won’t put him in the angel room to allow us to be with him more. So if you don’t care about your family member this is the place for you but if you want to trust there fed etc. check your other options. I wish we had but it’s way too late for that now.

Noticing more and more how a patient that is mobile and causes more work is given more medication to the point where they fall, so more medication is given until they are lethargic and can’t function as they could a day or two before. I feel they now are just trying to hurry along his illness to the point of death. When ask to stay with him that was not allowed. Why I ask? They afraid of what we will see?

Pictures of rooms are deceiving. Every time I visit his room smells of urine. People like to complain about school lunches well look at the meals are elderly are served here. If you have any questions no one ever knows. I know this is a job for them but this is my dad and watching his condition worsening is hard enough without wondering has he had enough to eat and why does his room always smell of urine and why can no one ever answer a question.
