My brother lived there. He liked it very much. He got to havefriends, go on field trips. They took him to his Dr.'s appointments, and to Wal-Mart. He got 3 meals a day. Jack Jr. loved to eat. He had diabetes. So they made sure he was on aspecial diet for his diabetes. Jack also got the medicine he wasprescribed by his Doctor. He loved dogs. Hackberry House had dogs. Jack had his favorite dog. He had a room mate. House had a T.V. in the living room. Jack really loved his westerns. He also bought a T.V. for his room. The helpers were good to Jack. He had a good relationship with all the staff. There was a backyard. Jack lovedsitting outside. I went to visit my brother as often as I could. Sometimes I would take Jack Jr. to Walmart his favorite place. The house was always clean.

When I found Hackberry House my brother had been in a facility that had severely mistreated him, so I was very anxious to immediately move him to a safe place. When I reached out to Hackberry House I immediately knew I was in good hands and that he would be well cared for. My brother has been through many health crises over the years and the staff at Hackberry House has always seen him through with compassion and dignity. God was clearly looking out for us when we found this facility.
