My 78 year old mother spent 3 months at Highlands recuperating from a broken leg. As a nurse, my standards are high and I can’t say enough good things about the care she received. I am out of state and communication with her team was very important to me. They gave me weekly status reports, called me for any changes and reassured me I could call them anytime. They are very serious about enforcing COVID restrictions for the protection of their residents and staff which is so important right now. Most importantly, my mom was so happy there. She grew so attached to the staff and said she was so well taken care of. Staffing is an issue everywhere and I’m sure her caretakers were giving it everything they had every day to give such good patient care. I would not hesitate to choose this facility if she needed long term care and she’s told me she wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
