Longmeadow Care Center

We recently had to put my 96 yr old father in Longmeadow in Ravenna Ohio. He was ill, cranky, and confused. Thank God we choose Longmeadow! Our family members spent many many hours being by his side, EVERY single staff member treated him with the utmost respect and kindness: I can’t say enough good about these people ?? Not only are they taking excellent care of Dad, they also treat his guest with the same kindness and thoughtfulness. God bless every single person who works at this wonderful facility.

Would not recommend this facility. It is owned by Embassy Healthcare which is one of the cheapest companies to be involved with nursing home care. As a family member expect to hit a brick wall with Corporate ignoring your concerns. They will serve your loved one garbage too. The food is a disgrace. They don't have too many activities to stimulate the residents. Also do NOT believe any of Embassy's commercials. There is a high turnover of staff. Read past surveys. Many nurses have attitudes and pretend to care when they care about a smoke break or gossiping about family members, fellow staff or residents at the nurses' station. Also do not believe reviews from employees. It's as if the company puts them up to leaving them. Believe reviews from family members and former rehab patients. Read past surveys. Just fight for your loved one and find a home that has nothing to do with Embassy Healthcare.

My experience with this facility was not good. I had to fight too hard for proper care. Nurses had poor attitudes and some were downright lazy. They always ran short on supplies and the food was disgusting and not healthy at all. No one cared in their Corporate office. Their management was poor to say the least. Look at their surveys. Most of Embassy buildings are poorly rated. They have a high turnover of staff. There has to be better facilities than this one.
