Lorien Bel Air

The food at Bel Air is, well, horrible! I would not give them any stars at all. The food has not taste at all. My mother complains ALL the time. If your loved one enjoys good food, don't go to Lorien at Bel Air.

I have been to Lorien Bel Air twice in 4 years for rehab from knee replacements. I can not say enough good things about this establishment. The care and caring atmosphere has no competition anywhere in Harford County. The Physical Therapy department is professional, experienced and knowledgeable beyond belief. From the bottom of my heart, I wish to thank the medical staff, especially the CNs, the cleaning personnel, the food staff and the PT and OT employees who helped me recover again from a rather painful operation. They did everything with kindness and understanding. I love them all. I would not have recovered this quickly if I was anywhere else. No. 1 in my book!??

My mom was in the assisted living part and we contracted for level 4 care. Rarely did she receive this. Went to the administratorsame many times who could not argue that they are consistently short staffed with staff that are not trained in basic care functions. But they never did anything to correct the issues. The tipping point was when my mom fell and was then put into her bed. We found her bed full of crumbs with sugar and salt packets underneath of her. By that point mom was immobile and not eating and yet no one could tell us how that happened. Very disturbing. We got her out of there asap. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. It looks nice but that has nothing to do with the care.
