My mom was at home UT suffered a UTI that required hospitalization. When she left medicare required short term rehab. The Lutheran home is close and we fell for the hype. First they messed up her meds. She was there for almost a month and I never saw a Dr. The physician assistant is a waste of skin. My mom took a bad turn one day and I knew the uti was ba k. I requested tests and antibiotics. The waste of skin could only give Tylenol until the test came back in 48 hours. 12 hours later at 2 am I got a call saying mom was not doing well and if the Dr recommends should they send her to the hospital? I went to the Lutheran home and they said they CALLED the Dr. They said they put her on oxygen and there was a unit in the room. Dr never showed or spoke to me. Only said take her to the er. Paramedics showed up and as they were moving her found that the oxygen hose she was wearing wasn't attached to the machine that was humming away uselessly. If you want a place to store your elder and if you think that Tylenol is all the medical care they may need this place could be right for you. If you don't mind finding your loved one in a bed full of feces you should think twice.
