where do I begin lived here almost 3 years don't recommend. from the crazy chaos and trashy residents to a unprofessional apartment manager Teresa Jones is verbally and emotionally abusive to residents and guests, never can pick up a phone, keeps the blinds down and office door locked if she is here, barley here. slides notes under your door after hours on a weekend so she doesn't have to deal with you is very petty and childish acting also she is a coward . man I was warned before I moved here not to come. I used to pay 149 now I'm on hud she wants to raise my rent to 708 these apartments are small and crappy also not handicap approved. now I gave her the documents she needed for my rent not to go up she loses it, avoids my phone calls more. I also have called about a neighbor I've had a issue with for a year who harass, stalks me ,calls the cops for no reason and more she does nothing about it the cops are tired of coming over here to deal with it. now the maintenance men and other staff do their jobs. now I'm moving out within less than a week I have a child and Teresa petty but knows that my boyfriend is not on the lease but comes over to visit our son and help me pack to move out. all because I didn't add him to my lease and I am moving out she banned him from the property from seeing me or our son and so much more I don't recommend living here if she still manages it -1 she is horrible she has brought nothing but pain, stress and misery to my family on top of the horrible neighbor who multiple people complain about she does nothing about it. please save your money, time and energy don't bother coming here if Teresa Jones runs this place.

This place is a joke plus the landlord should not be yelling at the residence like me and where we have mold in the apartment. There are things that need fixed on the apartments and there should be no weed smoking here because of people's health.

Where do I begin..you have Teresa Jones who is verbally and emotionally abusive to residents and their guests, she never fixes anything is very petty, drags the move in and out process on purpose!!, Teresa pockets rent money, always has a attitude problem, never does anything about residents who causes problems, constantly breaking the lease rules, hud rules or C.A.R.E act rules here, threatens to have people arrested or takes people's mail, tries to raise rent, avoids or deletes your phone calls, slides notes under the door after hours then runs away and hides like a little kid, tells a resident who currently lives here the father of her son who is her boyfriend can't visit unless he fills out paperwork as a living aid giving up his ID and social security number, wrote 3 residents up for not wanting their house sprayed due to covid 19 and one having a baby not wanting the child there when they sprayed and threatened to evict all these people, during the covid 19 chaos is trying to raise rent, terminate people's lease, complaining about unauthorized occupants and more. Place smells like piss and pot all the time. Not well kept!! The only people who do their job around here is everyone but Teresa Jones and a lot of residents here would agree at least Larry the maintenance staff is nice and his girlfriend. I wish they would bring back the other office staff that used to work here with colorful hair she cared about everyone who lived here, was nice and responsible she actually got stuff done!! Plus when I first moved in she was nice to let me use the keys for the elevator after hours because you can only move in monday-friday 8am -5pm they're only here Monday, Wednesday and Friday sometimes they're here but it was nice she helped me out. Just please please fire Teresa Jones and bring us all some justice for once this has been going on for years!!

Teresa Jones is so disrespectful here don't move here she always rolls her eyes when you speak to her. Shut the blinds and locks the door when she is in the office. From disrespectful building manager to rampant gossiping by tenants this place was nothing short of a nightmare for my loved one.

Mattoon Tower claims to be handicap accessible but their apartments are definitely not. My $12,000 wheelchair took on heavy damages because the apartments are not whatsoever made accommodating for their use. The level of gossiping and infighting among the trashy tenants is completely unacceptable and the only thing worse is the lazy management team that allows it to go on. Teresa (building manager) is a disgrace to building and tenant managers anywhere. She locks herself inside of the office with the door locked and blinds drawn so that she can play on herself phone and plan her extended cosplay vacations instead of dealing with tenant and domicile issues. When she does allow herself to be cornered by tenants the result is often times very upsetting to the tenants themselves as she is a very selfish and unreasonable person who will stand in front of you rolling her eyes at you as you make a request or a complaint. She is extremely rude, unpleasant and just plain unprofessional. She has also mandated that anyone who contacts corporate offices regarding her behavior will be served eviction papers making it impossible for the tenants to get a fair shake and making herself the ultimate say in all matters concerning Mattoon Tower Apartments. If you're looking for affordable housing for the handicap and the elderly I would 1st suggest The Fellowship Center in Mattoon which is located on the same grounds as the Odd Fellow Rebecca nursing home and 2nd Park Tower Apartments in Mattoon who have an amazing and winning office staff and maintenance crew who are always available and happy to assist their tenants. Don't be fooled by Teresa's fake personality when coming in for an interview or a showing because she will pretend to be Mother Teresa until you sign the contract and then the true Teresa Jones comes out. I am absolutely amazed that this building is allowed continued operation under its current management.The office manager is absolutely rude and unresponsive to her tenants and their needs and is rarely reachable.This is a home for the elderly and the handicapped and they should have a much tighter grip on the drug use and activity going on inside of this community that is supposed to be a sanctuary for these tenants.
