Mesa Vista Inn Health Center

When my mother first came to Mesa Vista she was in the rehab/nursing side. The nurses and techs were lovely and caring - there just wasn't enough of them. My mother would be covered in feces or screaming in her room when I would arrive. It wasn't because the nurses were lazy and not taking care of patients - but they can't be in 50 rooms at 1 time. They certainly only have the state's bare minumum staffing at any given time. My mother was there originally for skilled nursing. The skilled nursing staff was amazing. They were able to get my mom to work and encouraged her to keep moving. They tried new and innovative things to help her recover. I really believe we had a few more meaningful months with my mom because of their care.The last few months of my mother's life she was in the memory care wing. That side of the facility is truly a disgrace. I realize the poor souls that live there are unpredictable and don't understand directions - but there has to be a better solution. Or at least MORE STAFFING to make sure all the residents are cared for. Just because they have dementia or alzheimers doesn't mean they shouldn't have a decent quality of life. Our major concerns were always lack of staffing. While many of the nurses were amazing - they weren't able to fully care for the number of patients they have at any given time

I like the care given to my aunt however her clothes are constantly missing. I buy her new clothes and within a week they are missing. I do her laundry so they should not be removed. Also her large clothes hamper disappeared along with the blanket I bought her. I have complained to Administration on several occasions to no avail.

I love the staff here they are very kind to my mother

My mom was a resident before she passed. These people were uncaring to say the least. My moms teeth went missing abd when i complained about it...they put random teeth in her mouth...i know because her reeth had her name embossed in them abd the teeth she had didn't. She had ger cellphone stolen a clock stolen her blanket i got her for her birthday given to someone else plus maby more thibgs. Dont send anyone you remotely care about to this place
