Pines of Sarasota

I don't know if the same administrator is there that was there a year ago in April, but I and my husband have never been treated so rudely in our lives. Besides making us wait and ignoring us as she walked by, she said that I didn't care about my Aunt because I didn't fly down to Fl. twice to see to her burial. We took care of everything by phone from Mn. and flew down as soon as she wascremated. It cost well over a thousand dollars for the one trip. We certainly couldn't afford two trips. She, the admin., was a nasty women. She even told us that my aunt was lucky they had kept her because after being there for years, she was 102, they had used up her money but were still receiving her SS and a pension. I was told they wouldn't clear her room until we arrived. It was cleaned out. That's probably why the thrift shop does so well. They also allowed an employee to buy her wedding rings for a fraction of what she could have sold them for. My mother is in a nursing home in Mn. I have never seen or heard anything here like what happened at The Pines. .
