With special recognition to our primary caregiver, Nora, I wish to express our gratitude for the care provided to my father-in-law in the last three years of his life. The team of care providers, with the professional oversight of the owner-managers, created an environment in which he was given affection, gentle re-direction for his advancing cognitive impairment, and consistent high quality personal care. Hallet House welcomed family engagement and visiting, allowing a weekly “family night” in the common areas which were the source of much happiness. My career in hospital care management, social work and senior services gives me a unique perspective on what may be expected in a care setting.
