by Upset Husband "Worked forty years as a manager" would not have treated any dedicated employee in thi on SeniorAdvice.com 09/13/2018
After working at Presidential Oaks for years and going in to help when short staffed "Even On Holiday's" Presidential Oaks showed their appreciation by cutting all full time employee's hours into part time hours. Cut out short term and long term disability. Took away banked earned time which had been already earned on the books per employee handbook; "Which is not legal" They covered their selves well with this one by having all employee's sign a release form that it was OK to receive only ten percent of banked vacation days if they give notice to leave. "Or be Terminated" Which my wife did sign....., One Manager routinely swore at employee's in front of other employee's when mad. She went to next level of management to have problem rectified. Response "That's just the way it is ! My wife has never left a job without giving a notice... So she gave a two weeks notice to find a job where dedication is appreciated. During her two weeks notice my wife got very sick...But she still worked SIX TWELVE HOUR SHIFT'S IN A ROW ! On the seventh day she couldn't work any more without seeing a doctor. She told the management the night before "Same one that swears at people if not happy with them" a shift she had picked up that she could not work said shift because she needed to see a Dr and was afraid of getting resident's sick. "RESPONCE.....Good you will not receive even the Ten percent of time PAID time you earned over the year's. WOULD YOU HAVE FINISHED OUT YOUR NOTICE! I think not! Thank you for appreciating the year's of DEDICATED work my wife has worked for you. OMG My wife received notice today. By the way. You are not eligible for rehire! My wife's response. They have to do what they have to do. My wife had about $2500.00 banked time earned when she left! Feel proud of yourselves ! Hard work not appreciated.
