Most of the nurses and CNAs are great. However, a few of them like to talk loudly in the halls using foul language. And some times the nurses take their own sweet time handing out medications. The facility is under going renovation so there's always construction noise. And right now there is a corona virus outbreak. So we have to stay in our rooms. No activities, no taking meals together, no visitation, and no going outside for any reason. Also, some of the food leaves a lot to be desired. Especially on weekends. They made no effort to give the residents a special meal on Christmas. And deserts are awful. They would rather open a can of fruit or pudding than giving fresh fruit or home made pudding. Also ice cream is one of their choices for desert. It is cheap and tastes nasty. It wouldn't be so bad once in a while, but it is given out at least 5 times a week, some times more. They do make cake, but don't frost it and it is very dry. The only decent desert is boston cream pie and it is only given out once a month if that. And the kitchen nevers makes enough for seconds or enough for the workers to have a meal. The kitchen also has a problem when the alternate meal is requested or if one of the residents can't eat either the planned meal or the alternative. The residents have also seen kitchen workers leaving for the day with plates of food and ziploc bags of freshly baked cookies for themselves. The residents could have had those cookies in their snack boxes.
