Reporting to State for lack of care. Doesn't check residents' briefs as often as state requirements. Left residents in a T-shirt and brief only at the nurses' station exposed - decency? Privacy? Nurses and aides are constantly sitting at the nurses' station, not caring for residents. Water and call light never in reach for residents. I walked into my grandpa's room and his bed wasn't lowered at all. Nice building doesn't mean anything when you hire uncompassionate caregivers. I was a CNA at a nursing home, I know the job is very busy, but when I have to come out to find someone sitting at the nurses' station doing nothing, meanwhile, my grandpa's brief is soiled because they haven't changed him in 5+ hours... I took matters into my own hands and changed him myself every 2 hours the next time I visited. I made sure I told the nursing team that I changed him at X time and he had urine no stool present and they looked at me like I was crazy. Do they even chart input/output accurately at this facility? And they didn't even do anything afterwards or change how often they'd come in. They also leave my grandma uninformed as far as his chart goes, even though she's his POA. Oh, and he's fallen probably over 10 times since he's been there less than a month. Explain that... I'm done with this facility and their lack of care for human decency. I'm reporting to state and hoping the joint commissions stop in on you soon!
