Regency On The Lake

i stupidly picked this facility based on them answering the phone. they did that quicker than the other places. they keep asking me to c my family member. they can't EVEN think that i'm POOR. not everyone has money to even drive down the road. i don't live close to my relative. my relative insisted on staying in her own town. a town with no relatives. i wanted her by me, but she insisted on staying in that town. personally, if i was the POA i would of had her close to me. that way i could of checked on her, visited her, etc. i was treated horribly by the "social worker" lee. don't ever talk to that JERK. the guy was mean to me. then another phone call, another regency employee told me my relative was reported to "social services to not live alone" that was on a VM. i called the place and talked to LEE. he reprimanded me for calling him. telling me that in "no uncertain terms is that r decision". he said it very rudely, very sternly, lecturing me, etc. WELL, as most would assume that would mean getting the gov't involved. NO, it meant social service in regency said she couldn't live alone. well LEE ur employee gave me the info. also LEE U R SOCIAL SERVICES. he didn't apologize, admit to any wrong doing, etc. he just kept on with his stupid BS mean lecturing. lecturing me, when he should be lecturing the worker. lee, if u didn't tell her that info., well i guess someone else in ur dept. gave the dept. that info. a dept. that includes u. so, i guess ur dept does NOT communicate. also, u did tell me that u could help with making it where a person with great dementia should not be living at home alone. then u change UR TUNE. he didn't care. this is a social worker - LOL. how kind, empathetic, etc. Told the gal who had me sign paperwork to get my relative in the place. she could care less. told her i wanted to talk to the top dog. she gives me the NURSES STATION. she was very GLAD to have me sign up my relative, but when it came to a complaint she did NOT care. she acted like she had no idea how to handle a complaint. just another added insult to more insults. makes u feel like u don't matter. only signing the paperwork to get u relative in the place matters. don't waste ur time with this hell hole. look at medilodge and marwood. i had to TELL the staff to let them know about activities to my relative. she can barely read, plus she can't comprehend a ton of stuff - dementia. one gal dropped her food off in front of her. the food wasn't even close to her. i think the value stinks. u get one night aide for 17 people. "they r mostly sleeping" is what was said by the aide. BS - they need to use the RR, some r up a lot, high fall risks, etc. very bad staff to client ratio on the night shift. very bad. i heard the food is crap from my relative. i saw one sandwich with no condiments on it. none offered. i put down a 1 star for staff based on the previously mentioned interaction. value - 1 for high priced for low client to staff ratio at night. don't know if i'm being told the truth about the day time client to staff ratio. activities - put it a 1 star since staff can't inform the clients that need help of the activities. they r happy to take ur money. if u have a big complaint they blow it off - give u the nurses station. yea, that is the top dog of the place. what a joke. oh yea, the guy nurse at night acts like it is a huge bother to talk to my relative. that was the best time i was told to call. after iwas told one other billion times by different staff. that night time is the best time to call. he just gets me off the phone right away. doesn't even give me the chance to talk to my relative. sternly says she is sleeping. well, other nurses/aides let me talk to her at that time. so THANKS guy nurse. plus, thanks for constantly asking me where i live. maybe u could do a donation deal where i could visit my relative. where i end up getting enough money to cover my lost of wages, my gas, etc. I can NOT afford to miss a day of work. again, not everyone is RICH. oh yea, the give the wrong date when insurance will stop covering ur relative. they say they didn't tell u that date. they did tell u that date. i would record EVERYTHING they say.
