Regents Park of Jacksonville

I really wish there was a way to give negative stars. If you have a loved one who is in need of rehabilitation or long term care, I would avoid Regents Park like the plague. They are completely uninvolved with their patients and their families. You have to threaten legal action to get a response from ANYONE or even a call back. They have your family members in rooms where their phones do not work, they have ridiculous visiting restrictions and they don't return calls and when they do, it seems like no one knows what's going on - to include IMPORTANT medical information/diagnoses that your loved one has and needs treatment for. I do understand that most places like this are short staffed however having your family member in a facility where you 1. can't talk to them 2. can't see them 3. they won't answer calls or e-mails so you're going weeks without knowing anything is completely unacceptable. Social services really needs to open an investigation on this facility and if you are looking at these reviews to potentially place your loved one here... DON'T DO IT!

Worked for the company, always short on supplies, meds arrive late. On the acute side only LPN's work, the RN's and BSN's nurses refused to work the acute side, so they are on the long term side. Horrible place to work. Too many residents given on the acute side and have to do your own wounds. Pay is horrible. At meal time when CNA's are passing trays, not one stays on the halls, it takes all the CNA's to push one cart and lean on it to kept it up. Nurses have to stop passing meds and put residents on bed pans, take them to restrooms. CNA's refused to do anything while trays are passed and resident's eat in their room. So residents have to stay wet or dirty till trays are picked up by CNA's. The CNA's pretty much run the place. If any nurse complains, you have hell to pay with all the CNA's, they will watch you like a hawk and complain if you sneeze wrong while they sit in rooms hiding out on cell phones. Administration and DON is a joke. Any good DON's they have in the past, if they don't agree with the Administration they are let go. More concern about new bedspreads than anything else. Looks good when they are given tour.
