Rehabilitation Center at Park Place

My father was sent here from the hospital in less than 2 weeks was back in the hospital severely dehydrated, extremely low protein levels, pneumonia, bed sores, and had no oral care done and his mouth was stuck shut. After they cleaned and opened his mouth we realized all his words were now slurred you couldn't even understand him and he stayed curled up in the fetal position. This was not the man that evacuated from Panama City on October 9th walking, talking, eating, and driving the staff crazy. He left the hospital on IV fluids and a feeding tube so he should not have been dehydrated or had low protein levels if he was getting adiquit tube feedings. His condition in less than two weeks in there care was concerning enough that the hospital reported them to adult protective services. Due to the hurricane and all the facilities being full no other facility could take him but I was assured that with the open investigation he would get the best care and I need not worry. He goes back to the facility after leaving the hospital I call continuously trying to check on him but no one ever answers the phone at the nurses desk. EVER!!! So if you don't live in close proximity to this facility I would not send your loves one there. If you can't stop in every signal day to be able to question things that don't seem or look right and check them for sores etc don't take the chance! He was back there from the hospital 2 weeks and passed away. The investigation with adult services was open at time of death but they are not even going to have the medical examiner do blood work to check and make sure that he was being given fluids, feedings, etc since leaving the hospital and returning to their care. So its looking like I will have to have a private autopsy done myself. I want peice of mind. Adult service never went back to see him this last two weeks and now he is gone. Just be careful do your research, trust your gut, if you can't be close and stop in often don't do it!
