Sagewood

Sagewood does not provide the services they claim. No cleaning service to individual units. The menu choices they claim are very limited to just a few items. Sagewood is all smoke and mirrors with regard to the amenities they say are provided to residents. Do not consider this facility.

We have lived at Sagewood in northeast Phoenix/Scottsdale for almost two years. As we approached 80, we wanted more support for maintaining a mostly independent lifestyle—especially with our children living in the Midwest. Sagewood has been an excellent choice. The physical setting is a cluster of smaller buildings around a core. There are also townhouses and more independent living options surrounding the main ‘campus’. Management and staff are well-trained and generally responsive to residents’ needs. We generally eat about half of our meals in one of the food venues, with excellent service from the young servers. Considering how many people the kitchen has to please, they do a great job. We highly recommend this Life Care Community.

My wife and i have been visiting numerous Continuing Care Retirement centers for the last several years and have concluded that Sagewood is far superior to any other facilities currently available. Both the resident's we've met as well as the staff at Sagewood are very friendly and helpful, always seeking to meet the needs of those living there. We've had meals in all of their dining facilities and the food has always been outstanding. I've never had better lamb chops in my entire life. Their facilities for keeping the residents in shape are first class, with a well equipted work out room staffed by two professional trainers; both indoor and outdoor swiming pools and hot tubs, two onsite movie theaters, a bank and market place. All resident's also have underground parking for their vehicles - what more could one ask. They have a variety of independent living units to choose from and if the time ever comes when one requires special care, they have beautiful assisted living, memory care and full nursing care units as part of the package. Making the decision to call Sagewood our future home was not a difficult decision. We are currently awaiting the completion of their Phase 2 expansion project.
