Signature Healthcare of Marietta

My mother is a resident at Signature. They have a issue with their staffing, either they dont care and are incompetent or they do not have enough staff to properly care for the patients. My mother needed help to remove the lid off of her lunch and dinner tray and ask the staff serving dinner to allow her to pray first before helping her remove the tray, instead of waiting and respecting her right to pray before she eats they left and would not assist her in removing the lid off her lunch and dinner tray. Came back afterward with no concern and took her food away and she went almost a whole day without eating. The social worker was informed and would not or could not understand how this could happen and blamed my 74 year old mom for this. Instead of taking ownership for this uncaring treatment of my mom and making sure nothing like this ever happens again. I pray to God I will be able to find a better place for her soon.

This place was awful. Because of Covid19, we could not be there to monitor the care of my father who was put in For rehab. following surgery/ illness. After two day, he begged us to get him. He just layed there all day with no one working with him. After following up with the administration, I find out they suspended all care until Covid19 testing was complete which meant he sat for six days. No one communicated this with us. When I picked him up, he was dehydrated and so weak he could no longer stand. His clothes were changed once in 6 days. His bandages were wet and smelled awful which meant they were not changed. They should be ashamed of themselves. The only one I can praise was the social worker, Elaine Simmons. She was kind, helpful, and seemed to feel bad about what happened.

If I could give this place a zero I would. My Dad was in here for rehab after a stroke and they pretty much dismissed his care. It was clearly stated that he needed assistance in eating and they would just put his food down in front of him. No assistance. We also found him, more than once, lying awake in his own urine for hours. When I asked if I could have fresh sheets for his bed, one of the workers said, heres the code to the linen room...you can get them. Really? Staff could care less. They just cant be bothered with Anything. This place sucks in the highest degree and helped caused the decline of my Dad's health. If I could sue them for malpractice I would.
