St Lawrence Rehab Center

I was unable to give this facility zero stars to be able to post a review. But know that I give them no stars. The only way to make this public is to choose an option. This is an awful facility. Their nurses close the doors to the patients' rooms that are most ill so they do not need to deal with them while the patients continue to suffer and get sick. The majority of nurses wear dirty and stained uniforms. The therapists are just lazy. They line patients up outside the main Physical Therapy room in their wheelchairs like cattle waiting for an available therapist. And they have no interaction with them until they are in the front of the line. Then they work with them in the rehab rooms for a few minutes showing them what to do then walk away and chat with other therapists. The only bright spot in this facility is the other patients who look out for one another. There is no privacy whatsoever when meeting with the speech therapists. They share an office with one another. So there can be multiple therapists in the room at the same time with their patients. How this does not violate HIPAA I do not know. Nothing can be confidential when so many people can hear the conversations. The showers are disgusting and have mold and mildew in the stalls and hair in the drains. It's incredibly sad about the conditions and treatments that the patients must endure. Patients are people with feelings and emotions. This place makes patients feel as if they are just pieces on a board game that they move around. It's a disgusting and dirty facility and the staff is inadequate, poorly trained, and lazy. I was sent to the Emergency Room due to their negligence and they did not contact anyone on my Emergency Contact List. Thankfully I had my cell phone, otherwise my family would have never known that I was transferred to the hospital and left this facility. I would never recommend this facility to anyone.
