STOP! STAY AWAY! KEEP OUT! Whatever caution you use to make you understand not to come here. First and foremeost: my grandma was a diabetic, ckd patient who didn't need dialysis yet, she couldn't walk cuz she has had stroke and was disabled on her left side. But everything else, she was good. She could talk, eat, sing and her mind was clearer and alert than most elders her age; 90. So, my grandma had to do a blood transfusion at the hospital, and then they discovered she had pneumonia. After the blood transfusion, the hospital said it's better for her to go a nursing home to strengthen her health since no one at home can care for her 24/7. The hospital recommended the nursing care facility because it was owned by one of the physician at the hospital. And because my grandma had only medi-cal: Allied physician of Cali, IPA, the hospital told me that her insurance is not contracted anywhere else in the San gabriel area besides the nursing care here at sunny view. They assured me that this place was the best, has the best care and blah blah blah. So I said fine, we'll go, just til she's ready to go home. So anyways, after 1 week of staying here at sunny view, my grandma developed a fever. But because no one knows if she was allergic to any medications besides aspirin, they gave her antibiotic for her fever. The next day, they called me and said they had to stop that antibiotic because my grandma had a bad allergic reaction and her fever wasn't getting controlled nor was her glucose level (blood sugar level). So they had to put her on a different med. The next day, I had called the facility that I'd like to transfer my grandma to Huntington memorial hospital. They asked me why, I said because it doesn't look like you guys are controlling her blood sugar level, it's still outta control high, and her fever is still going on, you guys aren't doing anything! And the N.P. told me, well, the hospital can't do anything that we can't do here, and her insurance can not go to that hospital. Wowzerz! And kept saying we're doing everything we can here. This was on a Monday. And so Tuesday I went to go visit my grandma, they moved her from a 2 beds room downstairs to a single bed room upstairs, they said because of her skin rashes from the antibiotic. When I saw her, her skin was covered in rashes, still with fever. And then I went to ask the N.P., when was the last time you guys did a lab? I forgot what she said, but I asked..how's her kidney doing? She looked at me lost!! I said, YOU DO KNOW that she's a CKD patient right? N.P. said, oh I will order a lab for that today. And get this, everytime I go visit my grandma, they asks me, what's your plan? Have you decided to put her on hospice. I kept telling them no, shes going home! Thursday comes, she called me and said her kidney level isn't doing too good. So I immediately called her nephrologist and told him about it. Had N.P. sent me a copy of the report and I sent it to him. He told me to have my grandma transferred back to the ER immediately. When I got to the E.R. her lips was all puss and bloody. And the E.R. nurse told me that her mouth has infection! Like wtf!?!? Seriously!?!? Her skin was all bloody and scabs and red with rashes. Anyways, she was admitted. Her mouth never recovered, her pneumonia never cured. The doctors told me that whatever you see on her outside of her body, is how her internal organs are. She couldn't drink water, she couldn't eat. Then got admitted her to ICU to be put on breathing machine, then she passed. Please tell me, why didn't the nursing facility transfer her back to the hospital when they couldn't control any of her symptoms? BECAUSE THEY DGAF! They just want me to put her on hospice, collect their check! And when I requested for all her medical records, they said I had 72 hours for them to gimme a price of how much it was going to cost for labor printing. 72 hours come, no calls. I called after the 72 hours and they told me that they couldn't give me price because the file was in the Dr.'s office and his room was locked. Yah! Trying to cover up? The next day, they called and said ok this is how much it's going to be and I said ok, I will come and pick it up tomorrow. She said what? No, no, I haven't even copied it yet. Anyways...I just want to warn anyone who's considering this facility to really think again. From a blood transfusion to dying in the hospital all because of the antibiotic and neglect. Failed to act accordingly. I hate this place!! If I can give a zero star I would!
