The Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville Centre

My father was recently a patient at the Grand Pavilion at Rockville Centre,NY. He is currently fighting for his life in a hospital. To say that he survived the neglect and abuse of this facility would be an understatement. I regret not having listened to the many poor reviews here. I gave the Grand Pavilion the benefit of the doubt and my dad suffered the consequences. I will not burden you with the painful details of our stay here, but if there is something you should should know it is the following (according to the experience we had at the “Grand” Pavilion):-If you want answers or updates on your loved one, forget about it, it’s almost impossible unless you have no job and are willing to attempt multiple tries for multiple hours. -You cannot reach doctors or health care providers of any sort directly because they work through a network of people. -Your concerns will NEVER be a priority to anyone there, even when your loved one is at risk of death. -All staff are very well trained to be nonchalant and dismissive of any mishappenings.- Social workers CANNOT help you once things go south. They protect the business, not the patients. I plead you to beware of this facility. It is not an exaggeration to say that your loved ones will suffer, especially those left at the mercy of the nurses and LPNs or assistants. Those that cannot walk and use the bathroom for themselves and those patients that cannot advocate for themselves are at high risk of being mistreated or ignored. I have witnessed it, I have seen the despair especially when there is no family to advocate. Lastly, always read the fine print. Don’t let it happen to you. Good luck on your searches and stay away from this place.
