The Harborview Center For Nursing and Rehabilitation

I am a (57- yr old) woman who was in a Horrific Auto Accident in November 2018... I spent two months in Boston Hospital with several serious injuries Two Collapsed Lungs,several broken ribs & Sternum,and had to have a total Right hip replacement,and plate & screws in Right arm as well... also three blood Transfusions I ended up going to Braintree Rehab for a month the skilled Nursing was Fantastic there the Physical Therapy was way to aggressive too soon and they let me go way to soon home when i wasnt even weight bearing on my legs also they sent me home with a very bad Bladder infection that could of killed me as I was only born with one kidney!! Also almost a month -1/2 after accident they had a ambulance company transport me in a wheelchair van to a Boston appointment for re-check of my hip mind you the Third time in a vehicle since that accident the driver on the way in town was superb the driver who picked me up in a smaller vehicle was a 23- yr old young man who wasn't paying attention to the road it was close to dark rush hour traffic when we were approaching a set of Traffic lights i was loosely strapped in a wheel chair just behind his seat but in the middle so i had full view out the wind shield I believe he was looking down at his phone when i saw he wasnt stopping... I screamed STOP!STOP! he jammed on the brakes so hard that my broken healing body Violently Lunged forward causing that right arm to pull hard on the straps Instant Severe pain I reported all this to Braintrees Social worker she had not one word of response but to say OOOHH and quickly walk away!? So my Experience at Braintree was not very good except for the R.N'S & Aides were terrific but all the young Physical Therapists there had one goal and that was to get the patient moving no matter if they couldn't do it or not,not much compassion or yrs of experience behind there belts, So my Daughter called 911 went to emergency room they treated me for that very bad Bladder infection then by word of mouth through her girlfriend who is an aide at a separate facility said that Harborview had a great Reputation hence that is where I went for the next month after the nightmare stay at Braintree rehab...The Nurses were Great and the Physical Therapy Dept. was Fantastic they really,Really were all of the woman there with many years experience and ohhh Abundance of compassion they have a really Nice remodeled wing where I had my Room I was very Comfortable and well taken care of at Harborview I feel the Nurses & staff went over and above at times for me and I just want to Thank them for a most Difficult time in my Life I was bed ridden most of my stay so i couldn't be Independent which was difficult but they made it Bearable and got me to that point of Independence so that i could go home this time and at least be able to walk with a Hemi-Walker So Thank~You all that were Responsible for my care here From Middle of Dec 2018 to Middle of Jan 2019 .
