The Laurels of Mt. Vernon

After serious back surgery I went to the Laurels for a short recovery, I was there from 7pm to 10am when a friend picked me up at my request to “ get me out of there. When I arrived I was put in a small wooden bed in a dark room. I was left to lay in my bed with urine & feces for hours. My phone was dead and no one would help me charge it. Therefore I was unable to call for help. I had terrible incontinence and kept crawling out of bed to get help and leave that place. The nurses were mean and the aides were short staffed so that they could not help me. I should have been in a hospital bed but was in an old wooden bed. I left the next morning with help from a friend when I finally found a phone. I left AMA so they kept my pain pills. I was unable to get any relief for my pain until the following Tues. I would never go there again and recommend you find somewhere else for your loved ones or you!
