Village Care of King

My mother was sent to this facility for 21 days of physical therapy after a partial hip replacement. They never provided physical therapy. They falsified documentation on the care provided. All record keeping is basically copy and paste. My mother has dementia, which was not her status prior to being admitted there. After 2.5 months, not one doctor would return phone calls. Family cannot get a straight answer pertaining to the care for my mother, nor do they return phone calls. If you call, you get transferred to a voicemail or given another number that results in another voicemail. My mother indicated that a few of the staff were verbally and physically abusive. The administrator and management are ridiculously incompetent. It is a money-making business and that is what the Village Care of King is all about because it is very evident that patients are not a priority.

My experience is that if you ask 4 people the same question about your loved one they all have a different answer. Such as when was the last time my X ate or drank? No one seems to know? What should the oxygen level be? 4 people, 4 answers. Finding my X almost no oxygen, they blame it on the 93 year old roommate that is in a wheel chair and couldn't possible get to the dial. Once upon a time this was a decent place, not anymore. Short staffed and few seem to care at all.

If you plan to place a loved one in this facility, beware. The staff will tell your loved one that you no longer care and have put them in the facility to get rid of them. They coerce them into signing a will to leave their assets to someone on staff. They provide good care until that has happened and then they give minimal care at best.
