Wellington Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation

My grandmother stayed at several nursing homes and I have to say that it doesn't matter what it looks like on the outside ..its the care you receive on the inside. Wellington Oaks is an old nursing facility but on the inside it is filled with love. All the staff members treated my grandmother like she was their own. I appreciate the love and compassion that was shown not only from nursing but the administator was like a mother who cared for her family. When I walked into the facility it did not have an odor like some of the others I experienced. I learned that most of the employees have been there for 10 plus years and that means alot because thats where I felt the FAMILY ATMOSPHERE. In all the facilities that we visited the administraters were no where near as kind and warm as the administrater at Wellington Oaks. I want to thank all of you for the love and attention your shown my family.

It's been a few years since my mother in law was in this facility but the care she received at this facility aided in her passing. Now her MS was the main cause but she had open wounds and maggots coming out of her wounds which as soon as we knew she was transported to the hospital for care in the wounds and moved to a completely different place. It was so bad to the extent that we filed a lawsuit and won that lawsuit against them. They refused to give us her medical records eventually the lawyer was able to get them. They head lady in charge yelled at me, my fiance, my brother in law, and father in law in her office when we went back to get her things. Her wedding ring was stolen during her stay there, as well as she wasn't getting the correct dosage of medication when she was suppose to and half the time not getting her pain medication which we didn't know till looking at the medical records. The not getting pain medicine alone is a HUGE deal because she had multiple sclerosis and stayed in constant pain it wasn't but a couple months after leaving this facility that she passed. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES bring your family to this facility EVER!!!
