Westgate Hills Rehabilitation and Nursing Center

I've read the reviews for Westgate with great interst. My own Mother has been at Westgate for several years now and I couldn't be happier. The staff is kind, competent, compassionate and always welcoming to visitors. Truely, it is heartwrentching when the competencies of a loved one deteriorate to the point where they have to “be placed” in a nursing faclity. It is also true that, “there is no place like home”. But home isn't always a reality and a nursing home, any nursing home, is not a subsitute. It took my family and I a long time to figure this out. Westgate was not our first stop but we are grateful that it is our last. Our Mother is always well cared for, clean and surrounded by people who care and respect her. Mother is beyond the stage where she responds to external stimulation but she feels safe and comfortable. We (my siblings and I) are extremely fortunate to have Westgate and the Westgate staff partnering with us to make her final years the best that they can be.

My 96 year old Mother has resided at Westgate Hills and words cannot express how greatful I (we) are for the loving care my Mother has received in her 3 years and counting stay. Prior to Westgate Mother was in other high-end facilities and it was a disaster. mother was left unattended and was always falling; 2 broken hips, a broken arm and smashed face; overly medicated and was not doing well. At Westgate Mom has 'flunked out' of hospice by gaining over ten pounds and resuming physical therapy. Not a miracle but with the Lord's blessings we went to Westgate and with their care and nurturing has brought my Mother back. From Kiki, our angel, to Carmela in the front office, the love for their residents is everywhere. Thank you Westgate Hills for all you do.

The staff at Westgate are so kind. Not just to our Mom but to her family as well. They are incredibly patient with all of the residents. Much appreciated.

If I could give less than one star, I would. My mom is here. This place is awful. They do not care about your loved one. They do not treat people with dignity. They heavily medicate and make excuses for their lack of care. Please ... do not put your loved one here.
