When I was looking for a place for my mom, this place had 4 stars, so I want to let people know what really goes on so hopefully their loved one doesn't go through the same thing. Here are some examples.1. Mom had difficulty walking and they didn't do physical therapy like they should have. A lot of times they would bring stuff into her room for OT type activities but didnt concentrate on working her legs which is the reason she went in there. She could walk better when she went in the facility than when she came out. 2. The aide left her sitting on the toilet for over an hour one time. Then she got scolded for calling out for help.3. The nurse would come in every morning at 5:30 and throw on the overhead lights to change her and get her up and dressed. Then put her in a wheelchair for the rest of the day instead of putting her in the recliner. She would be crying because her bottom hurt so bad.3. The aides would come into her room and sit in her recliner to make personal phone calls so they wouldnt be seen by their supervisor, or to the empty room across the hall. These aides would sit there and carry on conversations like she wasn't even there. 4. Mom would get scolded for pushing the call light. They would tell her not to push it.5. This place was constantly getting her meds all mixed up. Mom was supposed to have a couple of muscle relaxers before bedtime and there were a couple of times that they told her that they couldn't find these pills so she would lie there and hurt until they supposedly found them.6. She would call a nurse because she had to go to the restroom for a bowel movement. They told her to go in her diaper, but she couldn't bring herself to do that, so she would hold it and then when the nurse finally did come she didn't have to go anymore. So she stayed constipated because of this. No one should ever be told to go in their brief when they can be helped and toileted properly.6. The staff would mostly give her bed baths. She had a couple of showers and they used dishwashing liquid to wash her. She was in there from June until September and she said they only washed her hair 3 times in that time period and they used dishwashing liquid for her hair too. These are a few of the things my mother had to endure while there. No loved one should ever be treated so poorly with such a lack of dignity. My mother aged significantly in a place that was supposed to help her rehab and instead treated her so horribly she was broken spiritually and worsened physically. When we were finally able to take her out of there she broke down in tears. I am not one to leave reviews, but my conscious would not let me rest while loved ones are treated in this manner.
