Since 1999, Rebuilding Together Metro Denver has repaired and improved thousands of homes owned by disabled people, veterans and older adults throughout the Denver metro area. RTMD's Emergency Repair Program provides urgent home repairs for heating, water and electrical problems and typically responds within 48 hours of contact. Through the nonprofit organization's Safe at Home program, volunteers complete projects that improve in-home safety, including installing nonslip bathtub treads, grab bars and fire extinguishers.
