Maine State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) Maine seniors who are eligible for Medicare can use the services of SHIP when they need advice and guidance about funding health care. The trained counselors who volunteer at SHIP provide unbiased, confidential and free advice about a variety of health care programs, including Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medigap and Long-Term Care Insurance.
