Adding to my 9/19 post - the rates I quoted include ALL property and school taxes, and government service fees. Ann's Choice is tax-exempt / not for profit, but makes voluntary payments in lieu of taxes to the local government and school district. Those are all covered within the rates I stated. I don't know what was factored into the rates this web-site estimated.

I don't understand some data here; let me explicate. For 2019 our 2 bedroom / 2 bath apartment with a patio costs $2,658 / month for 1 person, $3,492 for 2. Rates vary with apartment style and normally increase at 3% - 3.5% per year; averaging 3.09% over the last 14 years. Rates include 1 meal a day in any one of 3 restaurants each of which offers 5 different dinner entrees; or in our café. Take-out is available. Apartment amenities include appliance maintenance, cable TV and all utilities except wi-fi and telephone. Free Wi-fi is available in public areas and at 25 public-use computers scattered around the community. Medical service is fee-for-service and an exclusive Medicare Advantage plan is optional. Service types include respite care, short term rehabilitation, skilled nursing and secure memory care as well as independent and assisted living. No resident has (or will be) forced to move out for inability to pay - unless their funds were depleted at the gaming tables or in other irresponsible ways.

Rates increase must faster than inflation each year. Last year our social security increase 2% to match inflation while rates increased by 3.7$. That is unsustainable for some of us here.Quality of food is poor with no quality control. Each year options and quantity are reduced.
