Our Mother resided at The Oaks and I strongly advise that you don't send a loved one there. They appear at first glance to be a wonderful facility, and you can do all right there as long as you are in independent living. Mom did well there until she had some dementia. The told us that they weren't licensed for dementia care even though she had a contract for life care. She was moved four times from her original apartment, all with much stress to both her and our family. The have an area that they call the Health Center. She was treated badly there. We would show up unexpectedly and find her unwashed and soaked with urine. This caused her to have several urinary tract infections, which lead to her mental decline. They eventually kicked her out saying that they weren't licensed for dementia care. Kicking her out after making that huge investment was just plain wrong.
