Wish I could rate 0. My dad was there a few years. Lots of staff turnover and instability. Granted especially at the end my dad was difficult but even before that he was rarely bathed and nails were often dirty. The food is often inedible. A black nurse was arrested for abuse (charges were dropped). Shortly after that my dad would get upset when black LNA’s came to give care. The nurse manager called and gave me a long lecture on how my father was a bigot and it needed to stop. Then she and the social worker called to develop a “plan” to cope with him. I asked for the highlights of our talk be written up and emailed. The social worker said it wasn’t necessary. I wrote an email repeating what I had heard and sent it to both and the director. Nothing was ever said again and when possible LNA’s who didn’t upset him were used. My dad ended up with congestive heart failure. On the day he died, my sister came in and found him in the dining room all alone. Lunch had been over for quite awhile and he was just left there with a plate in front of him. She took him back to his room. My sister is a nurse who worked in a nursing home for over 20 years. During his last hours, his pain and discomfort was barely addressed. My sister was treated rudely by the staff. When he passed, the nurse told my sister she could have as much time as she needed to say goodbye. Five minutes later a LNA was asking them to leave so she could clean him up. This only touches the surface of what happened during his stay. There were many kind nurses and LPN’s but most of them ended up leaving because of burnout. I wish there had been a better place to send him or we could have kept him at home. My sister and I often visited and did what we could to make him more comfortable. I felt bad for the people with no family or visitors to speak for them.

worst place ever, get bed sores. Aids the worst not washing hands, not turning residents and rushed and very short-staffed. Nurses almost as bad, they put briefs on residents who have a catheter and a colonoscopy bag. They let the bag get too full exposes all over the patient and they have to set in it. Do not helo residents eat or drink who can not do it for them selfs, get dehydrated and have to go to the hospital. I feel my wife would be alive today if she never went there. She got depressed and gave up. She was in high spirts and improving until she got their.
