Meadowbrook Care Center

My wife spent spent 18 days there in quarantine since she was transferred from a hospital to Meadowbrooke for rehab. She fell out of her wheelchair twice, got a phase 2 ulcer on her butt and caught COVID while in quarantine. They had a strict no visitor policy which allowed some of the staff to take advantage since there were no relatives allowed to watch and observe. Her PT did absolutely nothing for her and she lost weight. Almost impossible to get someone to call you back. You have to scream at the front desk to get anyone to contact you. I finally had her released and when I got her home. The IV was still in her arm!!!!! Beware!

My mom had to go there to regain strength . Dr there misdiagnosed her and she got sepsis and pneumonia. Night before she was brought to the hospital Dr said we cannot find anything wrong with your mom and the next day they put her in Mercy Hospital . The physical Therapist only wanted to blame dementia and meanwhile the hospital said not dementia she is delirious from being so sick . She died of Sepsis 1 week later . One aid refused to help me get my mom out of the wheelchair because her backside was sore from bed sores , she said she was off in 20 minutes . Her last 4 days there she was so sick and they just kept her in bed . No water let her scream for help . RN there is awful . You have to be on them 24/7 to protect your loved one .
