Meadowbrook Rehabilitation and Nursing

My mother is currently staying at Meadowbrook she’s been there a long time I’m upset at this time I’ve tried to talk to the head nurse my mother has a urinary track infection she’s had it for two weeks very very painful and burning I have brought this to her attention the doctor suggest water only you need an anabiotic for a UTI I’ve called back three times to check to see if the doctor has prescribed her something still nothing has been done also at the time of the UTI I expressed that she needs an estrogen shot she’s had one all her life it makes a world of a difference for her still no shot nothing for UTI it’s been two weeks I don’t feel like the doctor meets their needs when they’re in pain I am very upset about this I want to move my mom somewhere closer to me when I almost had my mom convinced to go with me somewhere else the staff convinced her that other places would not care for her the way they do and talked her out of it I’m not a happy camper I’m going to stay on top of this until something gets done & I’m going to start looking for other Facilities that are closer to me I live in West Jordan they are in Salt Lake it’s time consuming I take her all of her stuff every week I will say one of the CNA‘s is an awesome wonderful person his name is Nelson he is very caring and helpful and very nice to my mother but it shouldn’t take this long to get a medication for something that is so painful or I shot that is much needed and will make a world of a difference for her if something doesn’t get done I’m going to make a report
