Mountain View Assisted Living and Memory Care

This is an amazing place all around. For the two years I have known of Mountain View there has been nothing but an amazing team and great residents. The management team has been there strong and dedicated to the needs of the residents and staff for the whole 2 years I have been visiting. The staff are prompt to the needs of the residents and complaints at very minimal. Every resident has an opportunity to express concerns at a resident council and also to management at any time 7 days a week. A nurse is on staff full-time and ensures optimal training for all new staff and ongoing for current staff. They offer a weight training class for the residents two days a week. This is so amazing by the way. They have a new nurse call light system that allows for every resident to have a pendent watch or necklace to push when they need staff assistance in addition to call lights in the apartments. Also, a new fire alarm system was placed to better prepare for this years fire season. The community has shown great improvement in the last two years and continue to strive for the best every day. In reality some families will not be happy regardless of the efforts put forth by the community to help them and the residents. All I know is that Mountain View is a family place and I feel the love and passion to care for our elderly every time I walk in the door. Well done!!

I disagree with the other reviewers. This is a good facility with a caring staff. I'm sorry they had bad experiences but we have had only great ones.

Its 3 years later since I moved my mom there, and out. I caught the med techs making many errors and brought them to the administrators. When a new administrator was hired, she banned me from staying with my mom, as I lived 3 hours away. It was cruel! Many personality disordered individuals and I dont mean the residents. They never cleaned my mothers floor by her recliner, despite my repeated requests. No wonder she had nasal congestion constantly! There was a thick layer of dust and dry skin on that laminate. We were promised and charged in the beginning for hourly checks to make sure her oxygen cannula was still on, that didnt happen and one time no one came into the room for 5 hours! I had to called ombudsman several times but the issues were never improved.The food was terrible and I heard the residents complain constantly. With no comparable competition in the area there is no incentive to give residents and their family the quality and price that would serve them well. My mom could not speak up for herself. So glad I got her moved outa there!

It's 4 years later, 2018, and the hot water heater still doesn't work consistently. They've gone through about 18 administrators in 15 years. (According to an inside source. ) The quality of care is close to being abusive. Ombudsmen is called in on a regular basis. Residents have had to wait 20-40 minutes to get their call answered. Residents tell me, "They make me feel worthless. " They focus on figuring how they can get more money out of the residents and charge them more and NOT on quality care. Is this where you want you want your love ones to live?
