Reche Canyon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center

My aunt has been a patient there for almost 3 weeks and I have watched her have inadequate care over and over again. She was sent there for rehabilitation due to weakness and Physical Therapy has been minimal. Nice physical therapists but they do the most minimal therapy that no one can get back up on their feet with this type of care. People will come into her room and talk and take care of her roommate and not even speak to her. It is so frustrating to witness this. And cross contamination of patient items all over the place with gloves on their hands that they come into the room on their hands. So it makes a person wonder- did they leave another patients bedside to come and take linen or diapers out of one patients room and return to the other patients room. Atrocious!

My dad is here and he was left unchanged for 14 hours by a nurse named Alfred. I am so angry right now im trying everything to contact who is in charge

The level of incompetence and outdated modes of patient care are appalling. As a patient there for nearly 4 months last year, I witnessed repeated violations of patient cross contamination due to not following infection control standards even after repeatedly alerting and informing staffing supervisors and administration personnel. Some of the most egregious violations of standards for hygiene and infection control were shockingly disturbing. Patients would be left unattended for upwards of several hours at times. And the attention to patient physical therapy needs was hurried and hit or miss at best. Basic equipment necessary for proper rehabilitation were often missing, unavailable or in non-working order. Fundamentally needed supplies were frequently unavailable as well.
